Glow Up & Thrive is a community event in Milwaukee’s District 6 that empowers girls and women through self-care, confidence building, and wellness resources. A highlight is the Confidence Corner, where participants engage in interactive activities, hear from our motivational speaker, and receive tools for personal growth and self-presentation. Attendees will also receive free hygiene kits and resources to support their self-care at home. The event fosters a positive, supportive space for youth to feel confident, build resilience, and connect with their community.
CHIC
Inspiring designers learn and improve the art of clothing design, sewing techniques, and design/make jewelry, as well as ironing, patterns, and eCommerce and Entrepreneurial skills.
ARTSPEAK
Inspiring artists and photographers learn techniques and ideas for approaching art, photography, and digital art and photography: understanding abstract, framing, art and technology, digital collage, and modeling compounds.
WRITERS BLOCK
Writers BLOCK engages in poetry, writing, and publishing. Youth learn how to perfect their art in writing, invoke emotion through poetry, and gain an understanding of the processes required to publish their work.
