Fashion, Art, and Teen Entertainment (F.AT.E.) provide activities for youth ages 10-17 in art and performing arts in Wisconsin’s Greater Milwaukee and the surrounding area.
F.A.T.E.’s mission is to provide youth the outlet to express themselves: It elicits creativity, recognizes their potential, and provides them with the venue to showcase their talents. Fashion, Art, and Teen Entertainment presents teens with the opportunity to realize their fate - what they are destined to be.
Commitment through self-discipline, resilience, and persistence.
Accountability by taking ownership and accepting responsibility for a project, product, or task, from inception to completion, and gaining clarity by understanding achievements.
INSPIRATION OF OTHERS
Being truthful, demonstrating integrity, living honestly and earnestly, and making a difference in each other’s lives.
Honoring, learning and understanding the value of work, discipline, character, and culture.
Growing emotionally and mentally to become a more considerate, loving, and positive person.
The decline in arts programs in Wisconsin's Greater Milwaukee area has created a void that F.A.T.E. believes needs to be filled. Arts education is a unique way to engage students. The arts include, but are not limited to, music, theatre, visual/studio arts, poetry, and dance; they are powerful bridges for youth from knowledge to everyday life contribution. While there are many resources displaying arts education benefits, there are still inequalities in access to arts education among youth. Often, areas and schools that generally receive fewer opportunities or fewer arts funding are ones with more at-risk youth. Disproportionate arts access negatively affects racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic minority children. F.A.T.E.’s vision is to provide a positive support system that could help youth avoid pitfalls that can disrupt their lives by offering a space where they will have the opportunity to explore, improve and develop their talents in arts & performing arts.
