The decline in arts programs in Wisconsin's Greater Milwaukee area has created a void that F.A.T.E. believes we can fill. Arts education is a unique way to engage students. The arts include, but are not limited to, music, theatre, visual/studio arts, poetry, and dance; they are powerful bridges for youth from knowledge to everyday life contribution. Unfortunately, while many resources display arts education benefits, there are still inequalities in access to arts education among youth. Often, areas and schools that generally receive fewer opportunities or less arts funding are ones with more at-risk youth. Disproportionate arts access negatively affects racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic minority children. F.A.T.E.'s vision is to provide a positive support system to help youth avoid pitfalls that can disrupt their lives. F.A.T.E. will give the space where youth will have the opportunity to explore, improve and develop their talents in arts & performing arts.
